MY ONLINE FILM:
Fever Dreams
A Basement Of Broken Dreams is the result of many months of work, encompassing samples from varied sources, most all of them originating from Creative Commons content. This album stands as a marker of what can be accomplished with a more open music and video industry.

Notes
John Holowach is a samplist. He makes use of sounds, beats, music, and generally anything that crosses his path in order to make a new work from it. His latest CD, Red Water, is available here: http://www.cafepress.com/redwater/
If you're going to use a sample or piece of the song, he'd like to hear what you made of it, so e-mail him: sampled@_narphonax.com (minus the underscore)

This work is truly outstanding. I've been doing a lot of virtual crate digging on the archive recently and to find such a gem was worth the time. John's other albums are on an equal par with this one so I suggest taking some time to check those out too. There is so much substance in John's work that it's hard not to find at least some elements that will appeal to you. For me, I like it all.

The closest comparison might be moby and paul oakenfold, but I think he blows them away (plus, one of the few truly open source artists around here [by-sa]) I am flabbergasted. Thanks John.

This by far the best completed work (IMO) in the open source archive. How this came below the radar of the curators is beyond me, shame on them.
